Julie Glover - Optimization Team Lead

Julie Glover
Optimization Team Lead
Julie (they/them) brings a unique combination of curiosity, creativity, and small-business perspective to their role as Optimization Team Lead at Third Marble Marketing. Before joining Third Marble Marketing, Julie earned a degree in Literary Studies and spent more than a decade working in independently owned bookstores. That experience gave them a firsthand understanding of the joys, challenges, and very real stakes that come with running a small business — perspective they now bring to helping locally owned businesses succeed online.
As a Team Lead Optimizer, Julie’s days are anything but predictable. They might start the morning catching up on emails before jumping into setting up a new campaign, testing a process, researching the latest Google marketing developments, troubleshooting performance issues, or fine-tuning an existing campaign. In other words, they spend a lot of time figuring out what’s working, what isn’t, and what we can do to make it better.
What Julie enjoys most about their work is knowing there are real people behind the businesses they help. They currently optimize more than 50 Google Ads campaigns, helping drive the best possible results for Third Marble’s clients. Julie says, “I love being part of the behind-the-scenes work that helps local businesses grow. Knowing that the businesses we support are also strengthening the communities around them makes the work feel especially meaningful.”
They also appreciate what makes Third Marble different: a team where everyone brings their own skill set to the table and works together to deliver both real results and personalized care.
Outside of marketing, Julie has a long list of interests that all seem to revolve around one thing: being curious about the world and paying attention to the details. They love reading, journaling, knitting, tending plants, birdwatching, hiking, cooking, baking, making zines, and pretty much anything involving intention, reflection, creativity, or connection. They’re also a longtime tarot reader, with more than 20 years of experience reading the cards — so apparently, Google isn’t the only place Julie knows how to find answers.
And then there are the fountain pens.
Julie starts most mornings with a cup of coffee (or two), a stack of journals, and plenty of time to write and reflect. Their current favorite daily writer is a fine-nib Pilot E95S paired with Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-budo ink. Yes, they have a favorite pen-and-ink combination. And yes, they have solid opinions about it.
Julie's advice to anyone starting out in marketing is simple but meaningful: You are enough. They believe everyone brings a unique perspective and valuable insight to the table — something worth recognizing, developing, and sharing. And if that isn't enough wisdom for one day, they have a second piece of advice they've been hearing from their dad for years: Remember to breathe.
Above all, Julie wants clients to know that the people behind the campaigns genuinely care about the people behind the businesses. They may not always see all the work happening behind the scenes, but Julie and the TMM team are thinking about their success with every decision, recommendation, test, and optimization.
As a true fan of autumn, Julie looks forward to cooler weather, apple picking for homemade hand-pies, longer nights, and plenty of opportunities for stargazing — which sounds like a pretty perfect way to wrap up a busy day of optimizing Google campaigns.
