If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a love of information, a passion for helping people, and a knack for digital marketing come together, meet Katie Knoop (she/her).
Katie is a Google Ads Coordinator at Third Marble Marketing, where she helps small businesses compete in the crowded world of Google Ads by making sure their services get in front of the people who are looking for them. With a background that includes digital marketing, nutrition counseling, and customer service, Katie brings a unique perspective to her work, and she’s always curious to learn something new along the way.
Katie’s journey to Third Marble has taken a few interesting turns. Originally from Virginia Beach, she earned her BA in Sociology from the University of Mary Washington and an MS in Nutrition and Integrative Health from Notre Dame of Maryland University. She’s also spent the last several years pursuing her passion for information and accessibility, earning her master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from Old Dominion University while working as a Creative Digital Publications Intern for the Library of Congress. Talk about having a few tabs open at once!
After nearly three years at Third Marble, Katie has developed a deep appreciation for the power of digital marketing to help local businesses connect with potential customers. She especially enjoys creating tourism and recreation campaigns because they give her an excuse to learn about interesting destinations, cultures, and attractions across the country while helping businesses get discovered.
Katie is driven by collaboration and curiosity, and one of her favorite things about Third Marble is the flexibility and the opportunity to work alongside such a great team. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking for friends and family, exploring Richmond, diving into art and culture, building community, and curling up with a good book and her two cats.
If you ever need someone who can jump from Google Ads to library science to a dinner recipe and then casually pick up a clarinet or sit down at a piano, Katie's your person. She may have a few different areas of expertise, but one thing ties them all together: a genuine passion for finding information, sharing it, and helping people connect with what they need.
